MY FRIENDS THE BUDDIES THE BLACK LIPS

I saw the Black Lips the other night for the third time. It was by far the best. Easily beat Coachella (even with Cole’s full-frontal display). The opening acts featured Pangea, The Garden, King Tuff, Summer Twins, Audacity, and Cosmonauts. Before the bands started, I bought a Black Lips shirt with Britney Spears’ infamous bald face on it. I also bought a King Tuff shirt from THE King Tuff. I was so stoked. The atmosphere was so fun and insane. The best part was when they came back out for a two song encore and finished with “Bow Down and Die” by The Almighty Defenders. At the end of the show, my friends and I walked by the side of the stage to exit the venue and happened to run into Cole Alexander. I reached my hand towards him. I touched the scruff on his face and told him I loved him and he kissed the palm of my hand. I never get freaked out in front of celebrities or bands, I’m pretty good at keeping my cool, but as I walked away, the hand he kissed was shaking. Not to mention earlier that day I bought two turtles for $5. This was definitely the best day of my summer. Get ready for some pictures.
